Work experience in Quito
LISA! students are given the opportunity to take part in work experience
in companies in Equador.
This is an extraordinary personal and professional experience for participants.
Work experience is available all year round. Our partner enterprises are
in the areas of trade, marketing, logistics, advertising, tourism, social
services, law, information technology, engineering and architecture. The
duration of your work experience is determined by your employer and can
be started almost every week.
Requirements
Work experience is suitable for applicants between 18 and 32, who have an advanced level of the language. We recommend you take part in an intensive language course before your work experience.
Your application
We recommend you write an application 2-4 months before setting
out on your trip. The companies will require a LISA! school certificate
as
well as a CV containing your passport photo and a short letter in support
of your application.
By the end of your language course, a member of staff will have found a
suitable placement for you. You will then have a job interview with your
prospective employer.
We cannot guarantee work experience in a particular field although we
will do our best to comply with applicants' needs.
Administration fees
In the unlikely event that we are unable to find the right placement
for you, we will be happy to refund the administration charge for work experience.
Administration charge:
When booking a language course in Quito (mimimum 2 weeks for intermediate
and higher level, minimum 8 weeks for beginner level):): £ 179 is
payable directly to the school.
Accommodation
For the duration of your work experience, you can book your accommodation in a host family, single room with half board for £ 97 per week; or in a shared flat, single room for £ 138 per week. We recommend that you book your accommodation when booking your language course.
