Visa regulations

Under the Working Holiday Maker arrangement with Australia, UK citizens between 18 and 30 are permitted to work in Australia for up to 12 months.
You are allowed to do any kind of work of a temporary or casual nature, and you can work with each employer for up to 3 months.
You are given a Working Holiday Maker visa once in your life, so this is a unique opportunity to make the most of your language course and work experience.
For further information on the Working Holiday Maker program, please visit the Australian Embassy on www.immi.gov.au.
To apply for your visa, please visit the Australian Embassy on www.immi.gov.au. The visa will cost about £ 106. We also recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance, please contact our help line for details.

Requirements

The work experience we offer is exclusively for students between 18 and 30 who are highly motivated and speak very good English. Participants must be able to speak English fluently and communicate in written and oral business English. We recommend students who have an intermediate level of English participate in one of our language courses for the duration of 8 to 12 weeks. Your Working-Holiday-Visa will enable you to work between 4 and 12 weeks with each employer. As this kind of visa is usually given for one year, you will be able to take part in several work experiences with different employers.

Your application

We recommend that you send us your application before setting out on your trip. The companies will require a LISA! school certificate which you will receive on completion of your language course, your CV containing a passport photo, and a letter in support of your application which states your motivation and interest in work experience.
By the end of your language course, a member of staff will have found a suitable placement for you. You will then have a job interview with your prospective employer.
We cannot guarantee work experience in a particular field although we will do our best to comply with applicants’ needs.

Administration fees

Administration charge: For a duration of maximum 4 weeks you will be charged 800 AUS$; from 4 to 12 weeks 1125 AUS$, both payable directly to the school.

In the event of cancellation of the Internship Programme after the confirmed date by the client (but before a first interview with a prospective host employer has been arranged), a 250 AUS$ cancellation fee will apply. There will be no refund of the Administration fees once an interview has been arranged.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to find the right placement for you, we will be happy to refund the full administration charge for work experience.

Accommodation

For the duration of your work experience, you can book your accommodation with a host family, in a single room (SR) with halfboard (HB) for £ 253 per week; or in a residence, in a single room for £ 170 or double room for £ 109. We recommend that you book your accommodation when booking your language course to avoid a late-booking fee of £ 110.
